Dada K.D Family Meets MUSIGA Executives
The family of the late singer Dada Kweku Duah, known as Dada K.D, recently met with MUSIGA. They discussed plans for a one-week celebration in his honor. This event will take place on June 21 at the East Legon Executive Club.
Nana Kaakyire Kwame Appiah led the family delegation. He is a former Vice President of MUSIGA. He confirmed that preparations are well underway and thanked MUSIGA for their support during this time.
Nana Kaakyire urged respect and sobriety as the family mourns. He asked the public not to sensationalize Dada K.D’s passing. This will help ensure he receives a dignified burial.
MUSIGA President Bessa Simons shared his memories of Dada K.D. Their friendship began in the early 2000s in Germany. “Dada K.D was a fine gentleman—affable, humble, and immensely talented,” he said. Simons assured the family of MUSIGA’s full support in honoring Dada K.D's legacy.
Dada K.D had many hits, including "Fathia Fata Nkrumah," "My Heart Goes Boom," and "Odo Mu Anigye." The family delegation included Kojo Brefo (brother), Michelle Sarfoah Dwomoh (niece), and others.
The MUSIGA team included S.K. Agyemang (General Secretary) and Ahuma Bosco Ocansey (Director of Special Projects). The one-week celebration aims to honor an artist whose music touched many lives.
