Dada KD was not broke before his demise – Manager

Dada Kwaku Duah, known as Dada KD, was a Highlife legend. His manager, King Pee, shared that he was financially stable before his death.

“Dada KD was not broke. He was doing very well,” King Pee said. He mentioned that Dada KD planned to submit a UK visa application today for a show next Saturday. There were no issues with anyone; rumors online are just for attention.

King Pee explained that Dada KD fell ill suddenly on Friday, May 16. He became inactive and unresponsive. His househelp alerted close associates who rushed him to Gbawe SDA Hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead later that night.

“Dada KD wasn’t sick,” King Pee recounted. “He suddenly went quiet, and we couldn’t save him.”

In response to social media rumors, King Pee denied claims about financial struggles or psychological issues. He also dismissed reports of Dada KD being shot in a recording studio.

King Pee clarified that a circulating video showing the musician in distress is old. It was filmed five years ago during an interview with Kofi Adoma.

Dada KD is remembered for timeless Highlife classics like ‘Yebeye Yen Ho Fi’ and ‘Odo Mu Anigye.’ He leaves behind five children and a fiancée based in the United States.
