Denzel Washington announces he will be in ‘Black Panther 3’ and it will be one of his last roles before retirement

Denzel Washington, 69, is gaining awards buzz for Gladiator II but is focused on future projects.

In an interview, he shared that he now prioritizes working with top filmmakers and may not do many more films.

Upcoming roles include Broadway’s Othello, where he’ll reprise his titular role, and potential collaborations with directors Steve McQueen and Ryan Coogler, the latter for a part in a possible Black Panther sequel.

Washington also plans to star in film adaptations of Othello and King Lear, after which he intends to retire.
