One of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' former employees testified against him. She claimed he kidnapped her at gunpoint. He allegedly broke into Kid Cudi's home to kill his rival.
Capricorn Clark worked for Mr. Combs for over a decade. In 2011, he and a security guard came to her apartment. They forced her to drive to Kid Cudi's house.
"Get dressed," she recalled Mr. Combs saying. "We're going to go kill this [expletive]." She also said he threatened her life on her first day of work.
Mr. Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to several charges. These include racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution.
The incident involving Kid Cudi was discussed in court last week. Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, testified against Mr. Combs. He spoke about his relationship with Cassie Ventura and an alleged break-in at his home.
Mr. Combs faces possible life in prison if convicted on federal charges. He has denied accusations in civil lawsuits that mirror claims in the criminal case.
On Tuesday, Ms. Clark testified about the 2011 incident with Mr. Combs. She said he arrived at her home after learning about Ms. Ventura's relationship with Mr. Mescudi.
Mr. Combs had a gun and looked "livid." He told her they were going to kill Mr. Mescudi.
She stated he forced her into a car against her will, according to CBS News reports.
Under cross-examination, Ms. Clark denied going with him voluntarily.
When they reached Mr. Mescudi's home, Mr. Combs and the guard went inside while she called Ms. Ventura from the car.
When Mr. Combs returned and saw her on the phone, he became angrier than before.
They sped off as Mr. Mescudi arrived back home.
Later, Ms Clark testified that Mr.Combs threatened her again after the incident.
He said she would not be released until she convinced Mr.Mescudi that he was not involved in the break-in.
"If you don't convince him of that, I'll kill all of you," she quoted him as saying.
Ms Clark described their difficult working relationship over the years.
On her first day at work, he threatened to kill her regarding past jobs with other rappers.
Despite this tumultuous relationship, she felt protective of him and wanted to stay close.
"He broke the ceiling of what we were allowed to do as black people in business," she added.
