Afro-fusion musician Bada, born Emmanuel Amegba, argues that relying solely on Highlife music limits Ghana's global musical reach.
Speaking to Graphic Showbiz, he believes that advocating for Highlife as Ghana’s music standard is outdated and ineffective in a competitive global market.
Bada notes that Highlife struggles even locally and lacks international appeal.
He urges young artistes to adopt global sounds, blending local rhythms with foreign influences to attract a wider audience.
Conversely, Highlife artiste Kwabena Kwabena insists Highlife remains relevant and essential for creating hit songs.
Bada, however, maintains that his Afro-fusion approach better serves international aspirations.
