Kwame Asare Obeng, known as A Plus, is the MP for Gomoa Central. He advised Ghanaians to ignore the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) claims about drug trafficking flights.
In an interview on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem show, A Plus emphasized the importance of speaking out. He said if anyone sees something suspicious, they should investigate it. "If they put an apple here, it will remain an apple," he noted.
A Plus defended President John Mahama. He described Mahama as a good person with valuable experience. He believes Mahama is ready to help build the country.
Responding to the NPP's recent comments, A Plus questioned their newfound confidence. "NPP people now have courage since leaving power," he said. He expressed confusion over where their confidence came from.
He accused the NPP of trying to distract Ghanaians with unnecessary noise. "They have suddenly found their voice," he stated. A Plus suggested that if they have issues, they should take action instead of just talking.
The issue of suspicious flights has sparked debate recently. Assin South MP Ntim Fordjour raised concerns about two specific flights: AirMed flight NH23AM and Cavok Air private jet Antonov AN 12 B. These flights allegedly landed in Ghana between March 20 and March 25, 2025.
There are suspicions that these flights carried cocaine and cash. The NPP has called for investigations into this matter.
