Dr. Likee and Bukom Banku entertained fans at the Ashanti Festival. The festival opened on April 12, 2025, at KNUST. Events included a football gala and boxing night.

The opening day featured a friendly boxing match between Dr. Likee and Bukom Banku. This contest was a curtain-raiser for the main evening event. Bukom Banku won the boxing bout against Dr. Likee.

After boxing, they had a dance competition, which Dr. Likee won. The festival was initiated by Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene.

The day's events began with a cleanup exercise in the morning. In the afternoon, there was a football gala at KNUST. The Ashanti Sports Presenters team defeated a Kumawood-selected side.

During the boxing night, Stanley Nyantakyi, known as the Ashanti Warrior, won his match against an unnamed opponent. Many dignitaries attended, including sports minister Hon Kofi Adams and Sharaf Mahama.

The second day of the festival will feature a kente procession to Manhyia Palace for Akwasidae observance. There will also be a fashion exhibition and fashion night at Rotary Park.
