EMY Africa Unveils Anniversary Celebrations

CEO Kojo Soboh announced the celebrations at a special event. This event marked the brand’s 10th anniversary. It took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Thursday.

Notable figures attended, including Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong. He is the Presidential Advisor on Diaspora Affairs. Media personality K.O.D., Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority, and actor James Gardiner were also present.

The celebration highlighted ten years of excellence, leadership, and cultural pride in Africa. Since its launch in 2016, EMY Africa has grown significantly. It started as an awards show and became a powerful brand across the continent.

Kojo Soboh stated, “Through our prestigious awards, magazine, forums, and expos, we have recognized outstanding individuals.” He emphasized that they inspire countless people.

He encouraged public participation by inviting nominations. “We invite our audience to help us identify exceptional men and women shaping Africa’s future,” he said.

The event also launched the latest edition of EMY Africa Magazine. This edition celebrates winners from the 9th EMY Africa Awards. It includes the 2023 Man of the Year and showcases inspiring African stories of legacy and impact.
