Ebi Bright, Baba Sadiq out after re-collation of parliamentary results

Baba Sadiq and Ebi Bright, prominent creatives and parliamentary candidates, lost their bids for parliament after re-collation of votes in their respective constituencies.

Baba Sadiq, initially declared winner for Okaikwei Central, lost to the incumbent MP Patrick Boamah, who retained his seat with 21,099 votes against Sadiq’s 19,368.

Similarly, actress Ebi Bright, initially declared winner for Tema Central, was overtaken by NPP’s Charles Forson, who secured 18,870 votes against her 18,815.

The Electoral Commission re-collated results in nine disputed constituencies following a court order, amid allegations of fraud by Sadiq.

The re-collation, under tight security, aimed to ensure compliance with electoral laws.
