Ghanaian gospel musician Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong, known as "The Great Ampong," has refuted claims of insulting former President John Dramani Mahama through his political song Emmoa Asem Nkoaa.
He explained that the song reflects Mahama's campaign remarks, which often revolve around food-related topics.
Ampong cited a recent comment by Mahama in Accra about digitalization and food as an example.
He emphasized that his lyrics draw from Akan expressions and are not meant to offend.
A staunch supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ampong recently released a campaign song featuring Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, sparking mixed reactions on social media.
