Teddi Mellencamp is facing a tough battle. She is currently fighting stage 4 melanoma. Her dad, John Mellencamp, is already planning ahead.

In a recent podcast, Teddi shared some heavy news. John has started discussing where he wants her to be buried. This conversation was unexpected for her.

John wants Teddi to rest in the family mausoleum in Indiana. He believes this keeps family close forever.

Teddi responded with her usual humor. She asked, “Is there space for my kids too?” She has three children: Slate, Cruz, and Dove.

John reassured her that everything can be arranged. Even during serious talks, Teddi kept it lighthearted. She joked about having “Hot girls never die” on her tombstone.

Despite the laughter, Teddi emphasized she is still fighting hard. Discussing wills and funeral plans is difficult but necessary for her.

She admitted missing time with her kids is the hardest part. “I’m not there for every moment,” she said.

John Mellencamp may dislike LA traffic, but he spent 18 days there recently. He did this just to support his daughter during her battle. That’s true love.
