The Foundation for Contemporary Art, FCA-Ghana, will host Fatric Bewong's solo exhibition. The event opens on Friday, May 9, 2025.
The exhibition runs from May 9 to June 8, 2025. It showcases various artistic processes and techniques. Bewong’s work focuses on environmental issues and family connections.
He uses fabric offcuts, discarded lottery papers, and reclaimed materials. Through laborious methods like cutting and stitching, he creates magical spaces and intriguing objects.
The exhibition will be held at three venues:
1. FCA-Ghana in Cantonments, Accra
2. Dei Centre Ghana in Tesano
3. FCA-Ghana Studio 1 at Jamestown Café
Everyone is invited to visit the exhibition during its run. The opening ceremony starts at 6 pm on May 9 at FCA-Ghana.
There will also be accompanying projects for audience engagement. These will lead to a book project that captures the experience.
