Filmmaking in Naija less expensive than GH —Peter Sedufia

Ghanaian filmmaker Peter Sedufia highlighted the challenges of movie production in Ghana, particularly the high costs of logistics and equipment.

He shared that he filmed his latest movie, One Night Guests, in Nigeria due to more affordable production resources, including cheaper equipment and a favorable tax regime.

Sedufia criticized Ghana’s high tax rates and stressed the need for reduced taxes and affordable equipment to boost the local film industry.

He also emphasized the importance of cross-border collaborations in African cinema, noting that such partnerships could foster growth and provide valuable learning opportunities for Ghanaian filmmakers.
