Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has a message for Asante Kotoko. He warns that the Ghana Premier League title race "is not over." His team trails Kotoko by five points.
Lions recently lost 2-1 to Bibiani Gold Stars. This defeat leaves them in third place with 40 points. Kotoko leads the league with 45 points, just ahead of Gold Stars at 44 points.
Bashir emphasized that there are about ten matches left in the season. "Ten matches mean 30 points," he said at the post-match conference. He believes this can change everything.
He added, "If someone is leading by five points, we still have hope." Bashir insists they should not relax just because of the current standings.
"It is not over," he stated firmly. Even if a team leads by ten points, there’s still a chance to catch up.
Lions will face leaders Kotoko next on April 6 at Kpando Stadium.
