Medeama SC won against Basake Holy Stars on April 1. The match took place at Tarkwa T&A Stadium during Gameweek 21 of the Ghana Premier League.
Holy Stars took the lead in the 28th minute. Issah Yakubu scored, giving them an early advantage.
Medeama fought hard for an equalizer. However, Holy Stars defended well and worked as a team.
Just before halftime, Kamaradini Mamudu scored for Medeama in the 45+3rd minute. This made the score 1-1.
In the second half, both teams played quality football. Medeama controlled possession and applied constant pressure.
They earned a penalty in the 85th minute but missed it. The score remained tied at 1-1.
In the 89th minute, Derrick Forjour scored a late winner. This secured a 2-1 victory for Medeama.
With this win, Medeama moved to fourth place in the league standings.
