Get your facts right – Paulina Oduro reacts to misquoted statement on Kofi Kinaata

Highlife legend Paulina Oduro has addressed recent reports about Kofi Kinaata. Some claimed she said he is "bigger" than the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

On ShowBiz Today, she clarified her comments. She urged bloggers to report accurately.

“Oh, Chaley! I think these bloggers should get their facts right,” she said. “What I actually said was that it’s not a big deal.”

She added, “Kofi is loved all over Ghana. He’s a big artiste and shouldn’t worry about nominations.”

Oduro noted that TGMA has been around for a long time. “Kofi can never be bigger than that show. But as an artiste, he is big!”

The misunderstanding started when Kofi Kinaata was left out of the Artiste of the Year category at the 26th TGMA. This happened despite his success with the Kofi oo Kofi EP.

Disappointed fans expressed their frustration online. Paulina Oduro aimed to encourage Kinaata but was misquoted by some blogs.

With her clarification, she hopes to resolve the issue. She emphasized that while Kinaata is a major artist, TGMA remains important in Ghana’s music industry.
