Joy FM has chosen experts in tourism, arts, and culture for the March 15, 2025 edition of Showbiz A-Z.
This episode will celebrate Ghana Month by focusing on the Ga people.
The theme is 'The Journey of the Ga People: Their Role in Shaping Tourism and the Creative Economy.' The program will be broadcast live from Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra.
Kwame Dadzie will host the show. The panel includes poet Nii Kwardey Ntreh, tourism consultant Francis Doku, tour guide Emmanuel Nii Ayi Solomon, and Gideon Asare from Adansi Travels.
The durbar will air from 2 PM to 6 PM. It will showcase rich Ga culture through music, dance, libation, and other activities. Bloku African Dance Theatre will perform a special piece.
Discussions will cover key Ga customs like funeral rites and marriage ceremonies. Showbiz A-Z will explore the history of the Ga people and their impact on tourism and culture. Important heritage sites in Accra will also be highlighted.
For four years, Joy FM has promoted various tribes' cultures during March. This month celebrates Ghanaian heritage and products.
In 2021, an outdoor program took place in Cape Coast. An encore followed in Kumasi to explore Asanteman’s tourist sites.
In 2023, the show was live from Mount Afadja in Hohoe Municipality.
Guests included Togbega Hometepkor V and Alexander Kwame Nketia from Ghana Tourism Authority. Chief Moomen also participated as a poet and playwright.
The event featured a food bazaar showcasing Volta Region cuisine. Activities included drumming, dancing, and pouring libation.
Showbiz A-Z is an award-winning magazine program focused on culture and tourism issues. It is known as Ghana's most authoritative entertainment talk show.
The show airs every Saturday from 2 PM to 6 PM on Joy 99.7FM. It is hosted by Kwame Dadzie with production by Philip Nai and Anita Teye.
