In Ghana's 2024 elections, John Mahama was declared President-elect with 56.5% of the votes.
Several entertainment figures contested parliamentary seats, including John Dumelo, who won Ayawaso West Wuogon with 47,560 votes, defeating incumbent Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
Baba Sadiq also secured victory in Okaikwei Central, edging out incumbent Patrick Boamah with 15,383 votes.
Kwame A-plus won the Gomoa Central seat as an independent candidate, defeating NPP's Naana Eyiah with 14,277 votes.
These wins marked significant shifts in constituencies traditionally held by the NPP.
