Going up 2024 TGMA stage with Stonebwoy ‘catapulted me to another level’ – MC Portfolio

Entertainment pundit MC Portfolio said Stonebwoy's commendation "has catapulted me to another level." He shared this during an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo.

Portfolio accompanied rapper King Paluta to the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards. He was surprised when Stonebwoy invited him on stage during his acceptance speech. Stonebwoy won the Artiste of the Year award that night.

"Please, if God grants grace, I’d like you to come up with me," Portfolio recalled Stonebwoy saying. This moment has significantly impacted his career and opportunities.

"It has reflected in my numbers and the quality of people I meet now," he explained. He noted that many admire Stonebwoy, leading to new connections and opportunities for him.

Portfolio emphasized that this gesture from Stonebwoy meant "more than receiving gold." He expressed gratitude for the opportunity it provided him.

Before advocating for Stonebwoy, Portfolio did not have a personal relationship with him. However, he refunded clients' money three weeks prior to support Stonebwoy's win.

He had previously supported KiDi and Black Sherif but felt those efforts were not effective beyond Kumasi. With plans to capture attention in Accra, he successfully argued for Stonebwoy's victory.

For the 2025 TGMAs, MC Portfolio is now campaigning for King Paluta. He aims for Paluta to win against favorites like King Promise and Stonebwoy in a competitive category featuring Black Sherif, Kweku Smoke, Team Eternity Ghana, and Joe Mettle.
