Gyakie, the Ghanaian Afro-Fusion star, has revealed her debut album title. The album is called ‘After Midnight.’

She shared this news in an Instagram post. Gyakie explained the inspiration behind the title. “Almost all the songs were recorded after midnight,” she said.

She finds her best inspiration during those late hours. The peace and quiet help her creativity flow. She also mentioned that she often cries after midnight.

“When I’m down, I schedule my tears for home,” Gyakie added. Her mother would pray for them after midnight while they slept. This routine continues whenever they are together.

The album will explore love's complexities and vulnerability at night. Gyakie's soothing voice and storytelling will take listeners on an emotional journey. She is known for writing about various forms of love.

Before announcing the album, Gyakie teased a new single titled “Sankofa.” This hints at rich themes and musical depth in her upcoming project.

Gyakie has received multiple accolades in her career. She is the first Ghanaian female artist signed to RCA Records UK and Sony Music Africa. In March, she represented Ghana at the Forbes Africa Women’s Leading Summit.

She also featured in a Puma football campaign with legends like Abedi Pele and Stonebwoy. Her breakout hit “Forever” topped charts globally, making her one of the most streamed Ghanaian female artists.
