Hajia 4Reall to be released today after serving one-year jail term in US

Ghanaian socialite and musician Mona Faiz Montrage, known as Hajia 4Reall, will be released today. She has served a one-year and one-day sentence at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia.

Public records from the US Federal Bureau of Prisons show her release date is May 22, 2025.

Montrage was convicted for conspiracy to receive stolen money. This was linked to a West Africa-based criminal enterprise involved in romance scams and internet fraud.

She controlled bank accounts that received over $2 million in fraudulent funds. In addition to her prison term, she faces three years of supervised release. She must also forfeit $216,475 and pay restitution of $1,387,458.

Court filings indicate that the sentencing judge approved her return timeline to Ghana. Her legal team stated she is ready to start anew and contribute positively upon her return.
