Patricia Asiedu, known as Nana Agradaa, claims she has not received any writ of summons from Empress Gifty.
This statement follows a writ demanding GH₵20 million in damages for defamation. The writ surfaced online on May 21, 2025.
Empress Gifty states that on May 13, 2025, Nana Agradaa attacked her husband on social media. This attack occurred during a live broadcast on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
The writ claims that Nana Agradaa's words imply several damaging statements about Empress Gifty. These include accusations of promiscuity and infidelity.
It also alleges that Empress Gifty is a zoophile and an imbecile. Furthermore, it suggests that pastors have sexual relations with her before she performs.
Empress Gifty argues that the broadcast allowed other bloggers to spread these defamatory statements widely. She says this has led to severe backlash against her online.
As a result, she claims her children face ridicule at school due to the situation. The lawyers state that Nana Agradaa’s actions have harmed Empress Gifty's reputation significantly.
They emphasize that this damage has affected her public image and personal life. Empress Gifty is also a brand ambassador for several companies.
Due to these allegations, her upcoming international program in August 2025 may be impacted. She is seeking GH₵20 million for reputational harm and emotional distress.
In response, Nana Agradaa told OPD in an interview on Adom FM that she hasn't received any court documents.
She stated that being sued requires proper service of the writ of summons.
Nana Agradaa mentioned hearing about the case but insists she needs official notice to respond.
She invited Empress Gifty to serve her if there are any issues between them.
