**Jide Kosoko's Financial Struggles Despite Fame**
Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has shared his financial struggles. He revealed that fame has not led to wealth. Despite working in the film industry for many years, he feels he is not rich.
In an interview on *The Honest Bunch* podcast, the 71-year-old actor expressed his views. He stated that by Nigerian standards, he does not consider himself wealthy. However, he is content with his current financial situation.
Kosoko emphasized the negative effects of piracy on the Nigerian movie industry. He called for stronger laws to combat this issue. “The punishment in copyright law for piracy is still not strong enough,” he said.
He pointed out that pirates often profit significantly from their actions. “A person who has been pirating works for years is a billionaire,” he noted. He suggested imposing a 20-year jail sentence without an option of a fine.
Jide Kosoko began his Nollywood career as a child actor in 1964. He started with the television series *Makanjuola*. Today, he remains a respected figure advocating for better regulations in the industry.
