KiDi, the award-winning Afropop star, has spoken about online criticism. He calls internet trolls "sad people" who project their unhappiness onto others.
In a recent episode of the Talk No Dey Cook Rice podcast, KiDi shared his thoughts on backlash. He believes much negativity comes from people struggling with their own lives.
"Once I understood that I can’t please everyone, life became easier," KiDi told host Derick Elorm Ashilevi.
He explained that even if he gives someone 1 million, they might still complain. "Some people are just unhappy and project that onto others," he said.
KiDi noted that social media comments often reflect personal struggles. "People may say hurtful things; it’s not personal," he added. They might be dealing with their own issues and take it out on him.
Despite fame's challenges, KiDi uses daily affirmations to boost his self-worth. He also talked about fatherhood in the spotlight and the deeper meanings in his music.
Additionally, he shared untold stories from his time at Lynx Entertainment. Recently, KiDi won Best Collaboration of the Year at the 26th TGMA for "Lomo Lomo" featuring Black Sherif.
