Black Sherif Reflects on His Career Choices

Ghanaian musician Black Sherif recently shared insights about his career. In a viral interview, he revealed what he might have done if not for music. He said he would likely sell car parts with his father.

Currently, Black Sherif is on tour promoting his new album, *Iron Boy*. This album has topped the charts in Ghana.

In an interview on the Afro Select Show, Black Sherif discussed his life beyond music. He mentioned that without music, he might have sold clothes in Accra or worked in his family’s spare parts business. His father sells car spares like engines.

Reflecting on high school in Kumasi, Black Sherif often snuck out of boarding school. He enjoyed dancing near the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

In another interview with David Carmi, host of the Confidence Heist Inspirational Show, Black Sherif talked about defying his parents' wishes. They wanted him to finish university before pursuing music.

He faced challenges but saw a future in music. In 2019, while his mother wanted him to attend university, he sought a gap year to focus on music. This year helped him prove to her that he was serious about his passion.

Black Sherif expressed that becoming a performer was a childhood dream come true. He noted various forms of artistry and how singing fulfilled this dream for him.

Recently, Black Sherif released a new song titled "So It Goes," featuring Nigerian singer Fireboy DML. The song tells an emotional story about love and comes with an engaging visualizer.
