I’d rather make more babies – Yvonne Nelson on body enhancement trend

Yvonne Nelson on Body Enhancement

Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson recently shared her views on body enhancement. She spoke during an interview on *The Career Trail* program on Joy Learning and JoyNews.

Yvonne stated she has never had body enhancements. She has also never considered them and does not plan to, especially as she approaches 40. She is satisfied with her natural appearance.

She addressed the societal pressure many women face to change their bodies. Yvonne believes this pressure is misplaced. Women should not alter their bodies for anyone's expectations, as it can lead to disappointment.

As a mother, Yvonne wants to set a good example for her child. She worries about the questions her daughter might ask as she grows older.

Reflecting on potential questions, Yvonne said, “One day you will become a mother... What happened to it? Did you blow it? Is it a balloon?” She added that she is not ready for such inquiries.

Yvonne feels content with how she looks and believes body enhancement offers no real benefits. “I don’t think enhancing any part of my body is going to help me,” she said.

Instead of surgery, Yvonne would prefer to have more children. “If I want to find myself in the hospital, it’s because I want babies,” she declared.

She also discussed the psychological effects of altering one’s appearance. Many people seek enhancements due to a lack of confidence, according to her.

“I feel that it is a mental thing,” Yvonne stated about this issue.

In closing, she advised young girls against starting down the path of body enhancements. “The minute you alter any part of your body, you would want another change,” she cautioned.
