Ghanaian comedian OB Amponsah has disclosed that he incurred a loss of approximately GH₵40,000 during his recent comedy event at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Speaking in an interview, OB revealed the financial challenges associated with organizing comedy shows in Ghana, despite his growing popularity.
He admitted that the cost of venue rentals, logistics, promotions, and other expenses outweighed the revenue generated from ticket sales. "Comedy is my passion, but financially, it’s not as profitable as people think," OB said.
Despite the setback, the comedian expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support and remains optimistic about future projects.
