Kuami Eugene credits the church for shaping his music career, revealing that he learned to play instruments like the piano, trumpet, drums, and guitar while growing up in church.
Speaking on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, he shared how his early exposure to music in the church inspired his self-taught mastery of instruments and stagecraft, including backflips.
Starting as a gospel artist under Eugene Marfo Ministries, Kuami produced gospel songs before rising to fame after the MTN Hitmaker contest.
Though now a secular artist, he maintains ties with the gospel community, writing for artists like Joyce Blessing and performing at church events.
He also honed his skills in music production by taking a professional course, adding depth to his artistry.
