I’ll never marry a Nigerian woman again – Hanks Anuku

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku recently discussed his past marriage. He explained why it ended and his views on marriage now.

In an interview on Nollywood Hardcore, Anuku shared that his marriage failed due to incompatibility. He said, “It was a wrong marriage.” His ex-wife is not the mother of his children. However, he did have a stepdaughter from her previous relationship.

Anuku has been divorced for over ten years. He clarified that he has not remarried since then. He does have another partner who has two children with him. They have a son and a daughter who live with their mother.

Reflecting on his past, Anuku admitted the separation was emotionally challenging. This experience led him to decide never to marry a Nigerian woman again.

He stated, “I don’t want to get married to any Nigerian.” He mentioned going through significant psychological trauma during that time. The unexpected separation hurt him deeply, but he felt he had to move on.
