Kafui Danku-Pitcher, the new Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority (NFA), is committed to revitalizing Ghana’s film sector.
In a recent interview, she revealed her plan to address key challenges, including funding, distribution, and the revival of the cinema culture.
As part of her efforts, she urged filmmakers to register with the NFA for licensing, in line with the Development and Classification of Film Act, 2016. Effective May 1, 2025, all filmmakers must have valid licenses before submitting content for classification.
This move is part of a broader strategy to improve the industry, uphold standards, and promote Ghanaian films internationally.
