Nigerian singer Orezi has clarified his stance on social media trends suggesting he makes extravagant promises to women, denying ever pledging anything as outrageous as ₦300 million.
In an interview with Echo Room, Orezi dismissed claims linking him to such lavish gifts, referencing the recent controversy involving Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje.
“I’m not part of the Lamborghini boys,” he stated. “I have never promised a lady anything worth ₦300 million. Am I crazy?”
While distancing himself from the ongoing discussions, Orezi admitted he once made a grand promise but never fulfilled it.
“I once promised a lady a house, but I didn’t deliver. Why would I buy her a house? For what?” he questioned.
Adding humor to the debate, Orezi argued that both men and women make unfulfilled promises in relationships.
“Ladies also promise to be faithful to one partner, and they often fail. So, let every gender keep promising. It’s a dog-eat-dog world,” he remarked.
His comments come amid heated discussions over reports that Burna Boy allegedly gifted a Lamborghini to Sophia Egbueje, only to later reclaim it.
Orezi, real name Esegine Allen, rose to fame with his 2013 hit “Rihanna” and has collaborated with stars like Davido, Wizkid, and Flavour. His debut album, *The Ghen Ghen Album* (2015), featured hits like Shoki, You Garrit, and Ogede.
