I used to give fried rice to presenters to promote my song – Trigmatic

Ghanaian musician Trigmatic has revealed how he managed to get his music played on radio at the start of his career.

Speaking on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, he shared that he often showed appreciation to radio presenters who supported his music by buying them food.

“At the time, payola wasn’t a thing, but it was there. You could give things like fried rice,” he said.

When asked if he also used this approach, he admitted, “Oh yeah, just to say ‘thank you.’”

Celebrating 15 years in music, Trigmatic has also released a leadership book titled *A Lion’s Aide*. He is known for hits like My Jolley, Agyei and Gye Nyame.
