I wanted to marry again, but it never happened – Hanks Anuku

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has opened up about his love life. He explained why he remains unmarried after his failed marriage to his ex-wife from Asaba.

In an interview on "Nollywood Hardcore, The Legend’s Untold Story," Anuku shared his thoughts. He once considered remarrying, but it never happened.

He said, “I thought I had a chance to get married again but it never happened.” He added that the mother of his children is not the woman he wants to marry. They are just friends now, despite having two kids together.

Anuku emphasized that he seeks a deep connection in a relationship. “I like to be in love with somebody and not just be infatuated,” he stated. He desires "Agape love," which he considers the greatest form of love.

He also mentioned a preference for Caucasian women. He feels more compatible with them based on his experiences abroad. “Overseas, I had Caucasian female friends,” he said.

Anuku noted that if he were to date again, it might be too late now. However, if he goes on vacation and meets someone special, he would consider it. “When I was overseas, I never dated any colored woman,” he revealed.

Regarding his failed marriage, Anuku cited financial pressures and jealousy as issues. “My ex-wife is a Nigerian woman from Asaba,” he explained. They were in love and got along well initially.

However, she often demanded money and wanted him to stop acting due to jealousy over other women around him. “I told her I couldn’t stop acting,” Anuku recounted.
