I was surprised Kwabena Kwabena announced 14th February for his concert - Akwaboah

Ghanaian Highlife singer Akwaboah has expressed his surprise at Kwabena Kwabena’s decision to host his concert on February 14 last year.

Speaking on Hitz FM with DJ Slim, Akwaboah revealed that he did not expect Kwabena Kwabena to choose the same date, as he had already established Valentine’s Day as his signature concert date.

“I was surprised when I heard it,” Akwaboah admitted, adding that he holds Kwabena Kwabena in high regard but found the move unexpected.

Despite the clash, Akwaboah noted that he remained focused on delivering a memorable experience for his fans.

Both artists are known for their romantic ballads, making Valentine’s Day an ideal occasion for their concerts. However, Akwaboah believes event organizers should plan with more consideration in the future.
