**Idris Elba Proposes Film Village to President Mahama**

Idris Elba recently met with President John Dramani Mahama at Jubilee House. The Hollywood actor proposed a partnership with the Ghanaian government. He aims to create an ultra-modern film and creative village near Osu Castle in Accra.

Elba expressed his desire to strengthen the local movie industry. He wants to make it more valuable for creatives in Ghana. The proposed village would also boost tourism and create jobs.

During their meeting, Elba was excited to greet President Mahama. This was their first interaction since Mahama returned to power after the 2024 elections.

Elba previously filmed "Beast of No Nation" in Ghana in 2015. He emphasized that the new village would include facilities for employment opportunities.

President Mahama welcomed Elba's proposal and offered suggestions for its implementation. After this meeting, Elba visited King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II at his palace on March 25, 2025.

At the palace, he was honored as a son of Ga land. He presented his vision for a film studio in Osu and mentioned a 22-acre site near Osu Castle for development.
