Stonebwoy, a Dancehall/Reggae artist, has urged budding musicians to blend local dialects with other languages to achieve global appeal.
Speaking at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) during its Cultural Day on November 15, he emphasized that music transcends language, encouraging artists to focus on cross-linguistic fusion and effective promotion.
Highlighting challenges faced by minority ethnic musicians, he cited examples like Philip Gbeho and Ephraim Amu, who thrived despite such barriers.
Stonebwoy shared his approach to connecting with audiences, noting how specific songs resonate in the Volta Region.
The Cultural Day event, themed Bridging Cultures, Shaping Futures, celebrated diverse African heritage through exhibitions, talks, and a food bazaar, promoting unity and understanding among students.
