American rapper and philanthropist Ja Rule recently visited the Volta Region of Ghana.
He inaugurated a new six-unit classroom block at Nuaso Anglican Primary School. This school is located in the Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The classroom block is part of an initiative Ja Rule started last year. He collaborated with the non-profit organization, Pencils of Promise (PoP) for this project.
The goal is to improve learning environments for young students. They aim to provide better educational infrastructure.
During the event, Freeman Gobah spoke about Ja Rule’s visit. He is the Country Director for Pencils of Promise. He praised Ja Rule's efforts as a significant gesture for education in the region.
Gobah explained that Pencils of Promise focuses on building essential infrastructure and sanitation facilities for schools. They especially target schools that lack these amenities.
The organization also supports teachers by introducing interactive teaching methods. These strategies enhance overall learning experiences in classrooms.
Freeman Gobah reaffirmed their commitment to partnering with the government and other stakeholders. Their goal is to further improve Ghana's education system.
