Jamie Foxx reveals he had a stroke in 2023

Jamie Foxx revealed he suffered a brain bleed leading to a stroke in April 2023.

Speaking during his Netflix special Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was..., he recalled blacking out after a severe headache and losing 20 days of memory.

Initially misdiagnosed, his sister Deidra Dixon took him to Piedmont Hospital, where emergency surgery saved his life.

Foxx praised his sister and daughter Corinne for protecting his privacy.

After awakening in a wheelchair, he underwent rehabilitation in Chicago.

This is his first detailed disclosure since the incident, which occurred while filming Back In Action.
