Jnr Pope’s father dies a year after the actor’s passing

The Odonwodo family is grieving again. Ozor Luke Odonwodo, the father of late actor Jnr Pope, has passed away. This loss comes almost a year after his son's death.

Jnr Pope’s widow, Jennifer Awele, confirmed the news on Instagram. Her emotional post shared the family's struggle with these back-to-back losses.

“Barely one month ago, I was with you in Enugu,” she wrote. She recalled receiving a call from her mother-in-law, Reme. Reme told her that her husband had gone to meet Jnr Pope.

Jennifer described her bond with Ozor Luke. She expressed gratitude for their time together before his passing. “Ozor Luke Odonwodo genuinely loved me,” she said.

She praised him as a devoted family man and an octogenarian. He lived well and earned love and respect from those around him.

Jennifer also addressed Reme, who now faces immense grief. “This is actually a lot within one year,” she noted. She prayed for strength for Reme and the family during this difficult time.

In closing, Jennifer offered a spiritual farewell to both father and son. “Adieu Father And Son… you are sorely missed,” she wrote. She held onto promises of resurrection from scripture references John 5:28-29 and Acts 24:15.
