John Dumelo offers free makeup and photoshoot for freshers at the University of Ghana

John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon and Deputy Agric Minister-Designate, is making sure first-year students at the University of Ghana start their academic journey in style.

Ahead of their matriculation, he has announced a special treat—free makeup and a professional photoshoot to mark the occasion.

The initiative, which was shared on his social media, is part of his ongoing efforts to support students in his constituency.

In his post, he reassured freshers that their big day would be memorable, even throwing in the popular phrase, "Item 15 is assured!"—a playful nod to refreshments being covered.

Dumelo, a first-time MP, has been actively engaging with students through various initiatives aimed at easing campus life.

His nomination as Deputy Minister of Agriculture under John Dramani Mahama’s administration, pending parliamentary approval, has further spotlighted his growing political influence.
