Gospel singer Joyce Akosua Twene, known as Joyce Blessing, shared her story. She talked about how her parents' divorce impacted her education.

Joyce had dreams of becoming a journalist, designer, and musician. However, she had to drop out of school in junior high due to their separation.

After that, she lived with others as a domestic worker. Eventually, she started selling goods on the streets of Kumasi.

Realizing she could sell on her own, Joyce moved out. She began living on the streets while selling items to support herself.

In an interview with Roselyn Felli on Joy Prime’s Changes, Joyce explained her struggles. “It was a broken home because my mom and dad were not together,” she said. “I wanted to be a singer, designer, and news anchor but didn’t get the chance.”

Roselyn asked what Joyce did after dropping out of school. Joyce replied that she sold various items like sachet water and food.

“I sold everything I could find to make money,” she said. “I remember helping a kenkey vendor before school and cutting firewood after.”

Despite these challenges, Joyce improved her English skills through technology. The ‘Unbreakable’ singer worked hard to pursue her music dreams.

Her experiences inspire her to encourage others facing difficulties. She believes education is crucial and technology makes learning easier today.

“Nowadays, you can’t complain,” she advised. “There are many ways to learn online or with help from your kids.”

Joyce emphasized that it’s never too late to rebuild your life through self-education and practice.
