A U.S. court has approved Ghanaian socialite Hajia4Reall’s request for self-deportation.
Born Mona Faiz Montrage, she was sentenced to 12 months in prison at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia after pleading guilty to conspiracy to receive stolen money.
On November 1, 2024, her legal team, Fast Law, filed a request to initiate her self-deportation process.
The prosecution did not oppose the application, leading U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken to grant the request.
He ordered that her passport be handed over to her attorneys to facilitate the process.
Hajia4Reall will be deported to Ghana immediately upon completing her sentence.
The ruling marks a significant step in her legal battle, bringing her closer to returning home after her highly publicized fraud case.
