Kim Kardashian has had a long journey to become a lawyer. She recently celebrated an important milestone in her pursuit.
On Wednesday, she shared photos and videos from her graduation ceremony. The event took place in her backyard. In one video, her sister Khloe Kardashian can be heard saying, “Surprise graduation!”
Jessica Jackson, an attorney who mentored Kardashian, spoke at the ceremony. She said it was an honor to witness Kardashian's inspiring legal journey.
Jackson noted that six years ago, Kardashian started with just a desire for justice. She did not attend law school or take shortcuts. Instead, she dedicated herself to studying law using case log books.
Over six years, Kardashian completed 5,184 hours of legal study. She managed this while raising four children and running businesses. Additionally, she filmed television shows and advocated for others in courtrooms.
Kardashian’s work in criminal justice has helped many people gain freedom. One notable case was Alice Marie Johnson, a first-time nonviolent drug offender. Kardashian encouraged President Donald Trump to commute Johnson's sentence in 2018 after she served 21 years.
Trump pardoned Johnson in 2020.
In another photo from the ceremony, Kardashian holds her completion certificate on stage. Friends and family celebrated with her during this special moment. She also shared a picture of her late father, Robert Kardashian, who was an attorney known for his work on O.J. Simpson’s trial.
