King Promise Wins Artiste of the Year

Musician King Promise won the Artiste of the Year Award. This was at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA). The event took place on May 10, 2025, at the Grand Arena.

He competed against Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, Black Sheriff, and others. Other winners included Ayisi, Empress Gifty, Kofi Kinaata, and KiDi.

In his acceptance speech, King Promise expressed gratitude to his fans and team. He thanked KillBeatz for training him in live entertainment.

He said, “Thank you to my amazing team and brothers.” He also acknowledged his fans as "the best in the world."

King Promise encouraged young people to pursue their dreams. He shared his experience of facing setbacks early in his career.

“My first year had seven nominations but I left with zero,” he recalled. “While some laughed, I worked harder because I believe in God’s timing.”

The awards show featured top Ghanaian music and entertainment talent. The atmosphere was electric with lights and performances that thrilled fans.

Throughout the night, King Promise's name was a hot topic among attendees and on social media. His recent hits like “Terminator II” contributed to this win.

Before announcing the winner, tension filled the hall as cameras focused on nominees. When King Promise's name was called, cheers erupted from the crowd.

Gospel singer Yaw Sarpong received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to gospel music. In total, 32 awards were presented during the event.
