Kingzkid commends TGMA for Urban Gospel Award category, calls for more

Urban gospel artist Kingzkid has shared his thoughts on the introduction of the "Best Urban/Contemporary Gospel Song" category at the Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

Speaking on Hitz FM, he described it as a great start but noted it isn’t enough to fully recognize the efforts of urban gospel artists.

Kingzkid expressed appreciation for the recognition, saying, “It’s a step in the right direction, but more can be done to support and promote urban gospel music.”

He emphasized the genre's role in inspiring the youth and its growing influence in the music industry.

The artist encouraged organizers to create additional categories and platforms to further spotlight urban gospel, ensuring it gains the attention it deserves within Ghana’s gospel music scene.
