A group of angry youth from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has attacked their party's office in Kumawu. This incident occurred in the Ashanti Region and caused significant property damage.
They vandalized computers, chairs, tables, and important documents. The unrest is linked to internal conflicts over selecting a District Chief Executive for Sekyere Kumawu.
Suale Orlanto Yakubu, the constituency secretary, spoke to the media after the incident.
In a similar situation, disgruntled foot soldiers protested in the Talensi constituency of the Upper East region. They opposed the President's nominee for District Chief Executive.
JoyNews' Albert Sore reported that this attack was likely carried out by unhappy party members. They were upset about John Millim Naabwomya being nominated as DCE.
