Kwabena Kwabena reflects on ‘Aso’ legacy ahead of 20th anniversary celebration

Kwabena Kwabena delivered a memorable performance of his classic hit Aso at King Promise's "Promiseland" concert, thrilling the audience and joining King Promise on stage for a rendition of Favourite Story, which samples Aso.

In a post-performance interview with Becky GH, he expressed gratitude for Ghanaians’ enduring love for the song and announced plans to mark its 20th anniversary in 2025 with a special celebration coinciding with his annual Valentine’s Day show.

Kwabena Kwabena praised the new generation of artists, including King Promise, for drawing inspiration from his work, adding that he’s proud to see highlife music evolve.
