Popular content creator Kwadwo Sheldon has defended Shatta Wale following criticism of his performance at the Freedom Street concert in Jamaica.
Sheldon, who has previously critiqued Wale, took issue with Stonebwoy’s claim that Wale acted as a “curtain raiser” at the event. He clarified that Shatta Wale performed mid-show, a prime slot, not as a warm-up act.
Addressing criticism of Wale’s song choices, Sheldon explained that the selections reflected Wale’s Jamaican management’s strategic focus on tracks popular in the Caribbean.
He emphasized that the performance was more about cultural exchange than crowd response.
Sheldon’s comments have reignited debate about artist rivalries and mutual respect within the Ghanaian music industry, highlighting the importance of celebrating diverse contributions.
