Lali X Lola cut signature red hair in call for unity between Shatta and Stonebwoy

Musical twins Lali X Lola have made a bold statement for peace in Ghana's music industry. They have cut off their signature red hair.

In a press release titled “Why Must We Choose?”, they shared their reasons. Their motivation comes from their love for Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy. These two icons have long divided fans.

“We’re cutting off our signature red hair—not for fashion, but for peace,” they wrote. “For unity. For Ghana music.”

The twins are known for their close bond on stage and in life. Lola admires the Shatta Movement’s energy, while Lalí loves Bhim Nation's spirit and melodies.

“But guess what?” they said. “Lola vibes hard to Stonebwoy’s tunes. And Lalí? She can’t help but move when Shatta Wale drops a hit.”

They expressed frustration over the ongoing rivalry that hinders collaboration in music. Lali X Lola challenged the idea of picking sides among artists and fans.

“So why must we choose a side?” they asked. “Why must fans fight? Why avoid putting both legends on the same stage?”

They called for an end to division, describing their haircut as a heartfelt cry: “Can’t we all just get along?”

They dream of a day when Shatta and Stonebwoy share a stage without security threats. This would be a global headline, not just local news.

Their message was supported by DJ Mercury Quaye’s quote: “It’s time to stop the fight.” He urged everyone to unite for a better future.

The twins concluded with their vision: “We’re tired of tension and turf wars.” They want to see greatness celebrated together, not in isolation.

With this bold move, Lali X Lola have sparked an important conversation about unity in Ghana's music industry.
