Let this be a wake-up call – Radiogad on Verydarkman’s arrest

Popular media personality Radiogad has commented on the arrest of social media activist Verydarkman. He sees this as a warning for anyone wanting to fight for Nigerian youths.

“Verydarkman’s arrest should wake up anyone who wants to be a Nigerian Messiah. Nigerian youths are very selfish people,” he said.

“If they were better, they would have protested at all GTBank offices for Verydarkman. They would have filled EFCC offices shouting ‘Free Verydarkman’,” Radiogad added in a viral video.

Verydarkman was reportedly arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). However, official details about his arrest are still unclear.

The outspoken activist is known for calling out injustices and corruption. He often clashes with powerful interests in doing so.

Radiogad believes this incident should discourage others from risking themselves for what he calls an “ungrateful and selfish” youth population.

He pointed out that the lack of public protests after the arrest supports his view.

Radiogad argued that many young Nigerians lack the collective mindset needed for change. Those who speak truth to power often do so alone and at great personal cost.
